Corinthians lost 1-0 to Palmeiras on Sunday at Neo Química Arena, and Matheus Pereira collected his third yellow card, which rules him out of next Sunday’s Paulista first-phase finale against São Bernado FC.

According to Meu Timao, the midfielder is expected to be available only for the quarter-finals.

Corinthians hope to have André Carrillo back in his place after he missed the derby due to discomfort in his left adductor. On Sunday, Rodrigo Garro came on for Matheus Pereira.

The club could also regain José Martínez, who rejoined the squad on Saturday after resolving passport issues in Venezuela.

The defeat dropped Corinthians to fifth on 11 points, and they missed the chance to end the first phase as overall leaders.

They are next in action on Thursday 12 February in the Brasileirão, at home to Red Bull Bragantino, with kick-off at 20:00.
