Michael Oliver will referee Leeds United’s final Premier League home game of the season against Brighton at Elland Road on Sunday, the Premier League have confirmed.

Daniel Farke’s side have already secured safety. They were safe before kicking a ball at Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, then came from behind to take a point.

Brighton remain in the hunt. They are seventh, two points behind Bournemouth in sixth, a position that could mean Champions League qualification this season.

Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring will run the lines. Sam Allison is fourth official, with Stuart Attwell on VAR duty at Stockley Park.

Oliver has overseen three Leeds matches this term. He took charge of the 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth in September, the 3-0 defeat at Brighton in November and February’s 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.

Across his games he averages 22.81 fouls and 3.04 yellow cards, placing him among the more lenient officials in the top flight.

Attwell was the referee for Leeds’ 1-0 home loss to Sunderland in February when a key penalty appeal was rejected after Luke O’Nien grappled Pascal Struijk. VAR Paul Tierney did not send the referee to the monitor and the decision was later judged incorrect. Farke criticised the call at the time.
