An up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was afforded the chance to impress in first-team training once again on Monday.
That’s according to journalist Sergi Capdevila, who points towards Jofre Torrents as the player in question.
Jofre was for his part expected to feature from the off in Barca Atlètic’s season opener against UE Porreres on Sunday.
This was until a fresh injury blow was announced in Hansi Flick’s senior squad.
After Alejandro Balde was ruled out for the coming weeks with a muscular injury, Flick and his staff requested that Jofre be left out of the Blaugrana’s reserve team outing.
As much comes with the 18-year-old now considered a real option to feature at senior level, as backup to Gerard Martín.
Jofre, in turn, was the sole reserve team talent who featured in first-team action at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning.
The Spanish defender was joined in training by the likes of Marc Casadó, Marc Bernal and the aforementioned Gerard Martín.
