Rangers are interested in bringing Frosinone attacker Fares Ghedjemis to Ibrox this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The France-born player has emerged as a target after Celtic failed with a bid during the last winter transfer window.
The 23-year-old Algerian international bagged 15 goals to help Frosinone secure Serie A promotion, which has impressed Rangers.
Ghedjemis featured at the World Cup, and a move to Ibrox could now be on the cards.
Rangers are now pushing for a deal and are making a strong move as he is their first target to strengthen in attack.
He has several suitors keen on securing his services this summer, but Rangers are one of the favourites to sign him.
Frosinone will have to start looking elsewhere for attacking reinforcements as they look to impress in the Italian top-flight.
The Light Blues have added Dan Neil, Ivan Pandur, Ben Godfrey, Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie, Cammy Devlin, Vanja Dragojevic and Olwethu Makhanya to their squad this summer.
Ghedjemis could be next as McInnes looks to further bolster his attacking ranks.
Rangers are desperate to win the title next season, and a few more top signings this summer would boost their chances.
