Steve Clarke has named his Scotland side to take on Denmark in the final match of the Group C qualification group at Hampden Park where both sides have their eyes firmly set on an automatic qualification place for next summer’s World Cup Finals across Canada, United States and Mexico.

For Scotland the task is simple. Win the match and they can start to plan for the country’s first World Cup finals since France 1998. For Denmark, after blowing a huge opportunity on Saturday Night in the Parken stadium when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Belarus. A victory against the side they hammered 6-0 in the away tie (played behind closed doors in Hungary) would have made tonight’s game a dead rubber. Instead it’s the ultimate winner takes all showdown with Scotland having the advantage of being at home and Denmark knowing that a draw would be enough to get them through.
It will be elation for one side this evening and disappointment for the other with at least a consolation of a second chance via the play-off spot that is guaranteed.

Steve Clarke makes two changes to the Scotland side that lost 3-2 in Greece on Saturday with McKenna coming in for Hanley who had a poor game at the weekend and Adams dropping to the bench with Dykes getting a start.
Former Celtic keeper Craig Gordon has the gloves for Scotland this evening and the back four are Hickey, Souttar, McKenna and Andy Robertson the Scotland captain. In the middle of the park the Scotland boss goes with , McTominay, Christie and Ferguson with McGinn and Gannon Doak in the wide areas and Dykes through the middle.

The Scotland subs are Kelly, Bain; Hanley, Kieran Tierney, Irving, Adams, Hendry, Barron, Hirst, Shankland, Anthony Ralston and McLean.
Kasper Schmeichel starts for Denmark and former Celt Matt O’Riley in on the bench for tonight’s visitors. Hampden is a ground he knows well from his time at Celtic!
Kick-off is at 7.45pm – Come on Scotland!
