Congratulations to Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, who has claimed the Barclays Women’s Super League Golden Boot for a record third season in a row.
The Jamaican’s brace on the final day of the WSL campaign against West Ham United ensured she finished as the league’s top scorer with 21 goals in 22 matches.
It means Shaw has once again made history in the WSL, having shared the award with Alessia Russo in 2024/25 and won it outright the season before, with 12 and 21 strikes respectively.
She’s also the first player in WSL history to reach the 20-goal mark in three separate seasons and, having found the net twice on the final day of the campaign against the Hammers, has also now brought up 100 goal contributions in the English top flight.
Joining the Blues in 2021, Shaw has found the net 117 times in just 137 appearances, becoming our record goalscorer in March 2024 and the first player to score 100 goals in our professional era in December 2025.

Of those 117 strikes, 83 have come in the WSL in 93 appearances, with only Beth England and Vivianne Miedema finding the net more in the competition’s history.
The Jamaican’s first strike of the 2025/26 campaign came in our maiden home fixture, with a diving header in a 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
She’s gone on to score against ten of our 11 WSL opponents this season, including the rest of the WSL’s top four in Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, with only Sam Kerr able to match that tally in a single season.
A memorable four-goal haul also followed against Aston Villa in December, with the first of those strikes bringing up a century for the Jamaican in City colours.
But now, Shaw can celebrate yet another incredible milestone in her career.
Everyone at City would like to congratulate Bunny on winning the WSL Golden Boot once again.
