A recent report has revealed shock links between Inter Milan ultras group the Curva Nord and far right political activities.

La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, report that ultras leader Andrea Beretta has disclosed links to “racist” and neo-Nazi political organizations.

The investigation into Inter ultras group the Curva Nord and their AC Milan counterparts the Curva Sud has been ongoing for three months now.

Prosecutors allege illegal activities on the part of the ultras, as well as mafia ties.

One prominent member of the Curva Nord, has cooperated with investigators. Andrea Beretta has given testimony to prosecutors, reports La Repubblica.

And among the ultras leader’s claims is that there are links between the Nord and far right political activities.

Report Reveals Shock Links Between Curva Nord & Far Right Activities

According to La Repubblica, Beretta has told authorities about the scope of the money-making schemes of the Nord around Inter matchdays, specifically in the Champions League.

The newspaper report that these include ticket-selling, merchandise, concessions, and “security.”

Beretta claimed that the Nord could funnel profits of around €10,000 from Champions League matches.

Therefore, during Inter’s run to the Champions League final, the Nord brought in profits of €90,000 or more.

Moreover, Beretta has claimed, there are strong links between certain sections of the Curva Nord and racist organizations.

The ultras leader claimed that he never personally took an interest in right-wing politics.

However, Beretta has alleged ties to organizations he calls “racist” as well as neo-Nazi groups, some with ties to Ukraine.

Beretta further alleged that there were meetings where far right Inter ultras would organize their activities. They could hold a significant amount of influence over the Nord as a whole, he told prosecutors.
