Sunderland ‘make strong move’ for Tarik Muharemović amid reported De Ketelaere bid | OneFootball

According to Sunderland Echo, Sunderland have seen a £29.9 million offer for Atalanta forward Charles De Ketelaere rejected. They are also pursuing Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemović as Regis Le Bris’ side explore options.

De Ketelaere is currently at the World Cup with Belgium, where he has two goals and one assist from four outings so far. The Belgian international has been on their books since 2023.

He initially joined on loan from AC Milan before making the move permanent. A Club Brugge academy graduate, the versatile attacker has 32 goals and 31 assists in 142 appearances for the club.

Sunderland are also understood to admire Muharemović, with Bournemouth monitoring the Bosnia and Herzegovina international and Juventus said to be keeping tabs on his situation.

The 23-year-old could cost up to £34.1 million this summer, and Sunderland are thought to be pushing hard for him.
