Sunderland’s summer window is set to be busy, with decisions due on loans, new arrivals and key players drawing interest.
Lutsharel Geertruida is likely to stay on Liverpool’s radar as he prepares to return to RB Leipzig after his Sunderland loan, which is not expected to be made permanent. His long-term future in Germany also appears uncertain.
A Dutch journalist has suggested the Liverpool link could remain relevant given his versatility and past work with Arne Slot at Feyenoord. Everton are also monitoring, and Leipzig are believed to want more than £20million, which may be tested.
Sunderland have again been linked with Napoli midfielder Frank Anguissa. According to Areanapoli, there is no official valuation, but Napoli are unlikely to sell for less than €20million, roughly £17.4million.
Sunderland were credited with interest in January and are now linked with a summer move. Anguissa would be a high-impact signing, though his age and likely cost make it a significant call, and he turns 31 later this year.
Robin Roefs is reportedly drawing Premier League attention after a standout debut season. The Sun claims Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring the 23-year-old, who joined from NEC Nijmegen for an initial £nine million last summer, with the report suggesting Sunderland would want around £50million.
