The Juventus One photo shoot took place today at the Allianz Training Centre in Vinovo. The location was not chosen at random: Vinovo will soon be the heart of a new integrated football project aimed at young people aged between six and 17, with and without disabilities. This initiative promotes inclusion and the sharing of sporting and relational experiences between the young people involved in Juventus' grassroots activities and the participants in the Juventus One & Youth project. The day concluded with a discussion among some of the staff, to share educational approaches that enhance inclusion, personal growth, and talent development.
Juventus One returns with some impressive numbers from this past year: over 120 adult athletes, divided into seven teams, 30 children and adolescents participating in the project dedicated to younger athletes, and a staff of 37 people, including coaches, educators, and volunteers.
There has also been great momentum for Juventus One @School: the project that has been bringing Paralympic football to schools since 2017 to promote inclusion, celebrate diversity and break down barriers related to disability. Running from October to May, it offers free training workshops in schools of all levels (primary, lower secondary and upper secondary) with activities in the gym and in the classroom. On Sunday, 7 September, the Juventus One @School team held a pre-season training session, meeting 100 girls and boys aged between 12 and 16 from all over Piedmont, involved in the “Time to Change” project (dedicated to the combination of social commitment, peace, sport, and art) and hosted at the SERMIG Peace Arsenal in Turin. The first meeting with schools is scheduled for Thursday, 15 October, at a primary school in Cuneo.
The Juventus One season, therefore, opens with a strong desire on the part of the Club to create connections between teams, territories and communities. This commitment is fully in line with the objectives of the ‘Sustainable Glocal Club’ pillar of the ESG Black, White and More strategy.
