Scotland manager Steve Clarke has named his team for this evening’s World Cup qualifier against Denmark. Scotland are ninety minutes away from securing their place at the World Cup and know that a win over the Danes will take the Tartan Army to North America.
Scotland will need to beat Celtic No.1 Kasper Schmeichel in the Denmark goals if they are to secure their place in the World Cup draw.
In goals, ex-Celtic stopper Craig Gordon plays. The Invincible goalie has only played for Scotland this season, coming in the 3-2 defeat to Greece.
Aaron Hickey and Andy Robertson start in the fullback berths. John Souttar starts with Scott McKenna. Souttar was poor in Greece along with Grant Hanley but the Hibs defender has paid the price.
In midfield, Lewis Ferguson is joined by Scott McTominay, former Celt Ryan Christie and John McGinn. The Aston Villa’s skipper will likely play off the side as he has done in recent games.
Ben Gannon-Doak starts out wide with Lyndon Dykes through the middle.
Gordon, Hickey, Souttar, McKenna, Robertson, Ferguson, Christie, McTominay, McGinn, Gannon-Doak, Dykes.
Subs: Kelly, Bain, Hanley, Tierney, Irving, Adams, Hendry, Barron, Hirst, Shankland, Ralston, McLean.
