Tottenham team news vs Fulham and predicted lineup

Tottenham will look to regain form this weekend after winning just one of their last six games across all competitions.

Spurs’ dream start in the season has come to an expected end, considering how unsustainable their performances had been. Still, their most recent loss was perhaps more encouraging that some of the wins they picked up previously.

A 3-5 defeat at the hands of PSG at Parc des Princes is nothing to be ashamed about. If anything, Thomas Frank’s men – Randal Kolo Muani in particular – presented more problems than Luis Enrique is used to seeing.

Now, they will shift their focus back to the Premier League when hosting Fulham this Saturday.

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Fulham

Tottenham (4-2-2-2): Vicario; Porro, Danso, van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Sarr; Kudus, Simons; Richarlison, Kolo Muani.

Thomas Frank is still dealing with quite a few absences. And captain Cristian Romero is a new one for this match after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the Arsenal game.

Other than the Argentine centre-back, the usuals are also out of contention: James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Dominic Solanke and Yves Bissouma. Radu Dragusin and Kota Takai are question marks, while Ben Davies was back on the bench and seems to be available.

New-look Tottenham on the rise?

The two-striker set seemed to work offensively vs PSG, with Kolo Muani and Richarlison creating and benefiting from chaotic sequences inside the box.

It might just be what they needed in order to be more dangerous going forward – other than their braver approach midweek vs PSG.

And considering there was not a lot of flair and creative quality, considering that those are not Lucas Bergvall’s or Pape Sarr’s main strengths, it could get even better for Spurs. Maybe that’s the most adequate system for Xavi Simons to shine, while also allowing Mohammed Kudus to maintain his level.

Fulham are an easier opponent to practice this against than PSG. The Cottagers have also looked ‘reborn’ to a certain extent recently, with Marco Silva inserting Kevin into the starting line-up. Alex Iwobi has dropped down to the defensive midfield line as well, adding more quality to the build-up.

Tottenham have dropped to ninth in the Premier League and need to start winning some points as soon as possible. Could have been a lot worse if not for the underwhelming wins at the start of the season.
