The race to sign Patrick Dorgu is heating up at a rapid rate, with AC Milan and several other clubs mentioned as being interested.
It is not hard to see why Dorgu is attracting a lot of interest. He scored his third goal of the season in Serie A on Monday night and it was the winner for Lecce as they claimed a 1-0 victory away against Verona.
According to what is being reported by Tuttosport, a Juventus scout was present at that game to watch Dorgu. The Dane’s name has been in their database for several months, so much so that last summer the technical director Cristiano Giuntoli – before signing Cabal from Verona – tested the waters.
At the time, Lecce had declared him unsellable, convinced that they could sell him for a much higher price 12 months later compared to the €15m that several clubs were ready to put on the table. It seems they were right.
There is also interest from Napoli (Antonio Conte likes him a lot, and wanted him back in August) and Milan (in the event of Theo Hernandez being sold). Chelsea and Tottenham are keen as well, and next summer might therefore be the right time to move, with a winter deal unlikely.
