Valencia have addressed their three priority needs this month, adding Guido Rodríguez, Unai Núñez and Umar Sadiq. The club remain open to further business before the window shuts on Monday two February.
Further deals hinge on exits, with Baptiste Santamaría and Dani Raba reluctant to leave mid-season, and Eray Cömert also hard to move. As reports that Valencia are prioritising a winger and a centre-back for the run-in.
The snag is the lack of registration slots following those arrivals. Any addition would require a departure.
If no one leaves, the club could target an under-23 winger or centre-back to register with the B team under federation rules, as with Germán Valera two seasons ago. Valencia Mestalla currently have room for two signings.
Valencia again asked Roma about Buba Sangaré, who can also play right centre-back, but a high purchase option proved prohibitive. Right-back is not a priority. A new centre-back would let the staff consider a back three with wing-backs.
Dutch centre-back Justin de Haas is slated for the summer. Valencia do not rule out trying to bring him in now, though that is described as very difficult given the need for a sale, money coming in, and Famalicão’s approval before 30 June.
