Real Madrid may have to make a decision about the future of Vinícius Júnior with reports suggesting the player will not sign a new deal.

The Brazilian is currently in his eighth season with Los Blancos during which he has been a big part of a squad that has won three league titles and two Champions League.

However, disagreements with new manager Xabi Alonso means that Vini's time at Real Madrid may not last much longer. The player's contract expires at the end of next season after having previously been linked with a big money move to Saudi Arabia.

According to journalist Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Vinícius Júnior aired his concerns about his relationship with Alonso during meetings behind the scenes and will not sign a new deal while things stay the same.

The 25-year-old is said to be particularly unhappy about being substituted, having been taken off eight times in his 13 starts so far this season and has come off the bench in four other games – including in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Elche.

In total, Vinícius Júnior has played 339 times for Real Madrid since joining from Flamengo as a teenager in which he has scored 111 goals and made 79 assists.
