Wolves teenager Mateus Mane equalled a Cristiano Ronaldo record during the club’s final home game, firing from range to put them ahead against Fulham.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, he is only the second Portuguese teenager to score three or more Premier League goals from outside the box in a single season, after Ronaldo in 2003/04, with both on three.
The 18-year-old put Rob Edwards’ side in front midway through the first half, thundering a right-footed shot from the edge of the area beyond Bernd Leno.
It was Mane’s third Premier League goal of the campaign and his first in the competition since netting against Everton in January.
Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, registered 103 goals and 37 assists in 236 Premier League appearances for Manchester United.
