Real Madrid and RB Leipzig remain in negotiations over Yan Diomandé’s transfer, with the 19-year-old still training on Tuesday, leaving the door ajar for PSG.
According to L'Équipe, the Ivorian winger has reached a contractual agreement with Madrid. A five-year package worth around €50m to €55m has been discussed, yet the clubs have not finalised a fee.
Could PSG benefit from the delay? With Bradley Barcola’s move to Liverpool edging closer, Paris believe they have fresh arguments to revisit the pursuit.
The club has publicly announced its withdrawal in a statement, but internally PSG are aware the player has remained receptive to the Paris project, helped by family support for the club and the appeal of working under Luis Enrique.
His entourage has expanded in recent days, driving up the sums sought around the deal. In recent hours, intermediaries seen as close to PSG have tried to restore order and re-establish contact to gauge feasibility. The possibility of a final Paris push gained credibility on Tuesday, provided Madrid do not complete the transfer first.
