AC Milan New Boy On Inter Milan Interest: ‘I Read About It, But Never Spoke To Anyone At Inter’ | OneFootball

New AC Milan signing Christopher Nkunku says that he’s “read about” the interest of Inter Milan this summer, but “never spoke to anyone.”

The Frenchman spoke at his presentation as a Rossoneri player, via FCInterNews. He commented about the links that he had with the Nerazzurri for several weeks.

Forward Christopher Nkunku joined AC Milan right at the end of the summer transfer window.

The former RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain was a player who Chelsea had spent much of the summer trying to find a new club for.

Inter had reportedly been considering Nkunku as a target.

The Nerazzurri spent a good part of the transfer window looking for a forward. Ademola Lookman was the player they were most strongly linked with.

However, it was not just Lookman that they were link with.

Additionall, Inter had reportedly considered Nkunku as an opportunity, considering his situation at Chelsea.

Nkunku talked about the links he had to Inter before his move to Milan.

“We’d read about it,” he said. “But I never spoke to anyone at Inter.”

‘When my agent told me about AC Milan, I didn’t even think twice,” he continued.

Nkunku then commented that “I know what a derby represents.”

“But I don’t know the Milan derby very well,” he added.

“I spoke to some former teammates about it. And they told me that it’s the biggest match.”
