Aston Villa are keen on signing Fulham attacker Harry Wilson ahead of the winter transfer window deadline, according to the BBC.
Manager Unai Emery wants to bolster his options in the final third and would love to sign the Wales international.
Wilson is out of contract at the end of the season, and Fulham are desperate to extend his deal.
However, the Villa target prefers to get clarity on the future of Fulham manager Marco Silva, who is also out of contract this summer, before deciding on any new deal.
It is unclear whether the Craven Cottage club will be open to selling Wilson this window, but he could be available for a decent fee if they do, which would be a boost for Villa.
He will be a free agent at the end of the season if he does not extend his deal, and more clubs will join Villa in the race if he becomes available.
The former Liverpool star has bagged eight goals and five assists in 25 games this season.
Wilson ended last term with six goals and two assists in 25 league games, and Villa could do with his quality as they target a top-four finish this season.
Villa will face competition from Brentford, Everton and Crystal Palace for Wilson if he becomes available this month.
They have signed Brazilian forward Alysson from Gremio in a £10 million deal. Leon Bailey has been recalled from his loan at AS Roma after Donyell Malen joined the Serie A club.
