AJ Auxerre and Paris FC are reported to have reached an agreement in principle regarding the transfer of Lassine Sinayoko (26) to the Parisian club, according to L’Équipe.
Whilst the transfer fee has not been disclosed, it is thought to range between €6.5m excluding bonuses – the sum AJ Auxerre had expected when his move to RC Lens fell through last summer – and €10m, which is the valuation the Burgundy-based club would now place on the Malian international.
Hull City, newly promoted to the Premier League, were willing to offer €13m excluding bonuses to secure the striker’s services, whilst he himself wanted to join PFC.
However, before Sinayoko is allowed to sign for the capital club, Auxerre’s management would like to hold a final meeting with the Bamako-born player, who has gone on strike from training following the conflict between him and the club’s hierarchy.
Although it is a thorny issue, it is expected to be resolved shortly, much to the relief of all parties involved.
