Barcelona Atletic manager completes highest-level coaching certification | OneFootball

Juliano Belletti oversaw Barcelona Atletic’s operations last season as the head coach and was instrumental in the team’s recent campaign in the Segunda Federación, where they finished sixth.

Over the past season, he has shown signs of being a promising tactician with an astute understanding of the game. His license, however, was a UEFA A license which only gave him the capacity to coach until the First Federation and not levels above that.

Needless to say, the Barcelona Atletic coach has been busy this summer improving his resume and announced earlier this week that he has reaped the reward.

The highest level possible

As reported by Mundo Deportivo in a recent report, Belletti has now completed the UEFA PRO course and received the diploma that accredits it. He is now in possession of the highest ranking a football coach can boast of.

The Brazilian coach was working very hard in recent months in pursuit of the certification and even undertook regular travels to Madrid to attend classes.

Now in possession of the UEFA PRO license, Belletti is permitted to take over as the manager for teams above the second division as well and can thus look for a jump to a bigger opportunity.

Belletti will return to Barcelona Atletic

While he may be certified to coach clubs in higher divisions, all signs point to Belletti returning to Barcelona Atletic for his second season at the helm and to help them secure promotion.

In his first season at Barcelona, he worked with the Juvenil A side where he won the UEFA Youth League in grand style. He was subsequently promoted to take over at Barcelona Atletic and helped them finish in the top half of the table last season.

The B team will start pre-season on July 20th, one week after the first-team begins preparations under Hansi Flick, and all eyes will be on Belletti to see if he can finally help the team move to a higher division this season.

Needless to say, however, he will also play a critical role in identifying and developing talents who can help out with first-team duties and will thus have to work in cooperation with Flick.
