Blue Crow has sold Spanish side Leganés to 885 Capital, prompting concern among Le Havre supporters. Inside the club, the message is reassuring.

Blue Crow said in a statement that it remains committed to a long-term plan to structure, develop and strengthen Le Havre financially, adding it has begun a capital increase, lodged DNCG guarantees and invested in a hybrid pitch and a training centre extension for 2026-2027.

President Jean-Michel Roussier viewed the response as extremely clear and had long anticipated the Leganés sale. Internally, it is presented as certainly not a bad thing for Le Havre.

The Leganés deal is estimated at nearly 90 million euros. A Blue Crow figure described the offer as impossible to refuse, noting the club’s value had more than doubled, and underlined the group remains in football and very attached to Le Havre.

On 21 May, shareholders approved an 18.2 million euros capital increase. With a DNCG hearing due on 10 June, Roussier believes the guarantees from Blue Crow should allow the club to hope to avoid restrictive measures.

The DNCG kept controls on Le Havre’s wage bill and transfer fees on 25 November, and no purchases were made in the last five windows. The club is seeking a successor to sporting director Mathieu Bodmer, with Demba Ba among those courted, and talks are progressing with Didier Digard, whose deal ends on 30 June. Pre-season is set for 6 July.
