Corinthians’ Deliberative Council meets on Wednesday at Teatro do Parque São Jorge to vote on a statute reform draft, two months after talks stalled.
According to Meu Timao, acting chair Leonardo Pantaleão called the session to put the commission’s text to a vote after two years of debate. It follows a General Assembly set for 18 April being suspended by a court injunction obtained by councillor Felipe Ezabella, after which Pantaleão cancelled that call.
Councillors informally sought to move the meeting to Neo Química Arena or postpone it because a basketball game is scheduled at the headquarters, Corinthians v Unifacisa in NBB Game 4.
Pantaleão kept the original plan, judging both events can be held safely. Parque São Jorge will close at 16:00 to ease logistics.
The draft was published in late October 2025. At a 24 October meeting the 2025 vote was deferred after councillors said they lacked access and time to review the papers, so 11 hearings were scheduled from late 2025 into early 2026, leading to further changes.
The first call is at 18:00, with quorum set at half of councillors plus one, otherwise a second call at 19:00 allows the session to proceed. After the council vote, the commission will finalise the text for a General Assembly, where eligible members, over 18 with at least five years’ membership and fees up to date, will vote yes or no on each item. Approved changes take immediate effect.
