Corinthians held the eighth of 10 public hearings at Parque São Jorge, focused on reforms to the Conselho de Orientação, Cori, and the Conselho Fiscal, CF. According to Meu Timao, around 40 people attended the session.

Speakers urged changes to Cori’s composition, including scrapping or limiting 'membros natos', currently former presidents of the executive board and the Deliberative Council. Many called for all seats to be elected on independent slates, tighter eligibility and attendance control, and publication of minutes, mirrored for the CF.

Deliberative Council president Tuma said the final audience on 9 February will be councillors-only to settle outstanding points, with a draft due mid-February. He is assessing how members will vote in a General Assembly, which could be held on 4, 5, 11 or 12 April.

Proposals included barring candidates tied to the current or previous administrations and relatives, requiring higher education, and separating Cori candidacies from those for the CD and CF. Others opposed bans, backed keeping 'membros natos' in reduced form, or suggested they sit without voting rights.

There were calls for transparency, detailed minutes and deadlines for document requests, plus an independently elected CF and clearer handovers so outgoing bodies close the prior year’s accounts. Some warned against overloading the CF and asked for a repository of past decisions.

Tuma opened by saluting Corinthians Feminino, who beat Gotham FC 1-0 to reach Sunday’s Fifa tournament final against Arsenal. Remaining hearings will be from 18:00, with advance registration via estatuto@sccorinthians.com.br up to three hours before each session.
