Corinthians send striker on loan to Botafogo until end of 2026

On Monday afternoon, on its official website, Corinthians announced the departure of forward Ellen, 22 years old, to Botafogo, on loan until the end of the 2026 season. The young player had not been utilized in the main Brabas squad and will have the opportunity to get more playing time with the team from Rio.

With Botafogo in 2026, the athlete will compete in the Brazilian Championship, Copa do Brasil, Copa Rio Feminino, and Campeonato Carioca. Ellen was the first player developed in Corinthians' youth academy to debut in the main team in 2022. However, her professional career was hampered by a series of serious knee injuries, as she had to undergo five surgeries on the area.

Ellen has not played since September 2025, when she took the field in Corinthians' away win over Taubaté, with a score of 3-0, in the first phase of the Paulista Women's Championship. Her contract with the Brabas ends at the end of 2026. In total, she has scored three goals in 12 matches wearing the Corinthians shirt – 11 wins and one draw.

Recently, it is worth noting, Corinthians also loaned out Nicole Marussi, another player developed in the club's youth system, to Juventude until the end of the season. Last year, she had already been loaned to Santos, where she did not have many opportunities, which led to her return to Parque São Jorge.

“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista announces that it has agreed to loan forward Ellen to Botafogo. With the agreement, the forward will remain with the Rio team until the end of the 2026 season. The first athlete from the youth academy to debut in the Timão's main squad, Ellen played her first match for the Brabas in 2022. In total, the forward played 12 matches and contributed three goals.”
