Corinthians’ women have surpassed two million Instagram followers, becoming the most-followed team outside Europe during their Copa das Campeãs Fifa runners-up finish.

According to Meu Timao, the account reached 2,010,888 during the final, ranking sixth worldwide. They trail Arsenal on 2,200,700, Manchester United 2,294,768, Chelsea 4,116,086, Barcelona 7,281,265 and Real Madrid 9,064,872.

On the pitch, Corinthians eliminated Gotham FC in the semi-final before a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in the final. They twice drew level and forced extra time against the current best team in the world.
