Nottingham Forest are weighing targeted summer moves, with Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Isaque on their list and attention on Igor Jesus. Vitor Pereira says planning is under way and he expects tweaks rather than an overhaul.
Calciomercato reports Isaque is on Forest’s radar, with Tottenham, Chelsea, Fulham and Bournemouth among admirers. Inter, Juventus, Roma and AC Milan are named too, and a Premier League move is said to be more likely for the 19-year-old.
He joined from Fluminense for €10m 12 months ago, has seven goals and seven assists, and is valued near €30m, about £26m.
Sport Witness says Juventus and Porto admire Jesus, 25, with a €25-30m, £21-25m, price mooted. That could deter Porto, while Juve are believed to be seeking attacking reinforcements.
Jesus had little rest after Botafogo’s Club World Cup and covered for Chris Wood’s injury, yet has 16 goals. He has looked more comfortable since Wood’s return.
Since Pereira arrived, his forwards have been Jesus, Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi and Lorenzo Lucca. Lucca returns to Napoli this summer, and Awoniyi is said to have admirers as he enters his final 12 months.
Forest have long tracked Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney and could try again as they assess midfield, with Elliot Anderson likely to attract bids. The Hartlepool Mail says Leeds United and Crystal Palace are monitoring him and Boro will not accept less than £20m.
