Nottingham Forest will officially unveil the renamed John Robertson Stand at the City Ground on Sunday.
According to NY Times, signage on the former Bridgford Stand has been updated in recent days and will be seen for the first time when Bournemouth visit for the final game of the season.
Robertson set up Trevor Francis to head the winner against Malmo in 1979, when Forest first lifted the European Cup. A year later he scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Hamburg to retain the trophy.
Owner Evangelos Marinakis approved the renaming in December last year, days after Robertson died aged 72. He described Robertson as a true legend of the club and said the change would ensure his legacy is remembered.
The winger also helped Forest win the First and Second Division titles, two League Cups, the UEFA Super Cup and the 1978 Charity Shield.
Across two spells he made more than 500 appearances for the club, scoring 95 goals. He often spoke with modest pride about his City Ground achievements under Brian Clough. His name will now have a physical presence on the banks of the River Trent.
