There’s a sense of revolution in the air at Roma.
After an excellent start to the season, the Giallorossi have slowed down: their Europa League dream has vanished at the hands of Bologna, and fourth place is distant, though not unattainable.
The Friedkins are unhappy with the current situation, and Cristiano Giuntoli is being considered at Trigoria.
Furthermore, the ongoing tensions between Gian Piero Gasperini and Frederic Massara are well known, and it’s not out of the question that the Roman club could restart with a new structure.
The Texans will make their assessments after the end of this season.
According to Matteo Moretto, if a separation from Frederic Massara were to be decided upon, Cristiano Giuntoli remains a strong contender in Roma’s orbit.
The sporting director remained a free agent after his time at Juventus and is undoubtedly a player the Giallorossi should consider.
Gasperini reportedly approves the move, as he and the former Juventus player are said to have a deep friendship.
Currently, no negotiations are underway, and the final decision will rest with the Friedkins, who want to understand where the Roman club stands before making any moves.
