Roma’s ownership is reportedly “annoyed” with the club’s recent slump in form, as the Giallorossi find themselves four points adrift of the Champions League places.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Friedkin family is frustrated that their significant financial investment in the squad has not translated into consistent results on the pitch. This dissatisfaction has set the stage for a total revolution at the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
Manager Gian Piero Gasperini is said to be in full agreement with the hierarchy, acknowledging that the current group has reached its limit.
To outline the path forward, a decisive summit has been scheduled between the Friedkins, sporting director Ricky Massara, and Gasperini.
The meeting will focus on a complete reshaping of the roster to align with the coach’s tactical demands, effectively marking the start of a new cycle under the former Atalanta boss for the 2026/27 campaign. While the players have reportedly signed a pact at Trigoria to save their season in the final weeks, the club’s leadership is already looking toward a radical overhaul to ensure the project finally pays off.
