Djed Spence, who struggled on loan at Leeds United, is being linked with Inter Milan after a resurgence at Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 2025/26 Serie A champions are considering the wing-back after a €30m, £25.6m, move for Union Saint-Gilloise’s Anan Khalaili collapsed. The Athletic reported last week that Everton are also interested as they look to replace Seamus Coleman following his summer exit.

Spence was among the few 49ers Enterprises-era arrivals at Elland Road that misfired, his 2023 loan from Spurs cut short in January after seven appearances. A six-month stint at Bologna also failed to catch light.

Back at Tottenham, the 25-year-old has played 55 Premier League matches in two years, with 42 starts, and earned an England call-up for this summer’s World Cup. He has often come off the bench across the Atlantic to help close out wins over Mexico and Norway.

Inter are prioritising a new wing-back and any move for Spence could be costly given his recent form. His career has accelerated since leaving Leeds in January 2024.

Daniel Farke later said the club opted to end the loan, declined to criticise Spence, praised his potential and a standout display at Ipswich, and felt it was the right decision at that moment.
