Leeds United are set to bolster Daniel Farke’s squad, with Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink pinpointing four positions to target and Ethan Ampadu already secured to 2030.

“Yeah, they did exceptionally well. I think they need more quality in depth. Dominic Calvert-Lewin did magnificently well upfront, but I think they need right and left wingers who can really deliver,” he told 10bet.

“Maybe a little bit more power in midfield, too. And a goalkeeper - the goalkeeper they took from France [Lucas Perri] didn’t really work out. Karl Darlow took over and did exceptionally well, but I think they need to strengthen permanently in that area.”

Leeds have already completed what could be their most important business, with chairman Paraag Marathe revealing last week that captain Ampadu has signed a new four-year contract to 2030. His previous deal ran to 2027 with a 12-month option, and he was named Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year last month.

“Yeah, well, he's the captain. Very important, very good. He's a proper leader.”

Talks are under way with Karl Darlow, Alex Cairns and Sam Byram over possible extensions as they are set to become free agents this summer, while Illan Meslier will leave. The Premier League window opens on Monday, 15 June. Leeds are expected to do most of their business after the 2026 World Cup, which ends in mid-July.
