Leeds United could receive a timely cash boost if Charlie Cresswell moves this month, with a 15 percent sell-on clause that could deliver a seven-figure sum if Toulouse achieve their asking price.

Sky Germany reports that Wolfsburg have turned their focus to the Toulouse centre-back after failing to progress moves for Danilho Doekhi and Kristoffer Ajer, and that talks are underway over a January switch.

Cresswell, 23, has played every league minute for eighth-placed Toulouse this season and scored three times. He joined from Leeds in July 2024 and has made 48 Ligue 1 appearances in 18 months.

The Athletic reports that West Ham, who tried to sign him in the summer, consider him a top target, and that Toulouse want €25m (£21.8m) to sell in January, with his contract running to summer 2028.

At that valuation, Toulouse would bank an £18m profit on their earlier outlay, of which Leeds would take 15 percent, about £2.7m, lifting their total income from Cresswell to roughly £6.5m.

With Leeds operating at the limit of permitted three-year losses under PSR, any seven-figure injection could support loan wages or the first instalment of a permanent deal this month.
