Leeds United seal move for Tarik Muharemovic, deal now closing | OneFootball

Serie A side Sassuolo have appeared destined to seal Tarik Muharemovic. Premier League clubs have been hovering around the Bosnian and now, Leeds United have sealed the deal for the defender.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the move involving the Whites is nearing completion.

The deal is valued at €40 million, with Juventus set to benefit from the sale thanks to a percentage of the player’s future resale value. Juventus will receive €20 million , equivalent to 50% of the deal. The parties are finalizing the final details before arranging the defender’s medical and completing all the necessary steps for his transfer.

This comes right after Sunderland and Bournemouth were linked with the player. Juventus, due to the overall cost of the deal, had moved on and Inter only saw Muharemovic as a replacement for Alessandro Bastoni. But the Italian stayed, thereby opening the door for a move to England.

Excellent deal

As things stand, the 23-year-old is one of the best defenders in Serie A and last season showed that. The Premier League will provide him a platform to use his ball-playing and recovery excellently. He boasts a tall frame that he uses well to reach out and win the ball back.

In the current market, Leeds United could do much worse than him.
