Leicester City sign Moroccan international Ayane | OneFootball

Leicester City have completed the signing of Moroccan international forward Rosella Ayane on a free transfer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this evening.

The 29-year-old joined Leicester City after leaving former club Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer. Ayane has signed a one-year deal at The King Power Stadium.

Ayane was on Chelsea’s books in her youth and she represented The Blues in the early days of their top tier journey. In 2017, the player joined Cypriot club Apollon Limassol before she soon returned to the English game with Bristol City. Ayane joined latest club Tottenham Hotspur in summer 2019 following the club’s promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.

On the international stage, Ayane has been a regular in the Moroccan side over the last four years.

After joining Leicester City, Ayane said “I’m looking forward to the start of the season and the journey ahead. My previous experience will help me here.

“I can tell we have such a good group of people and I’ve seen our potential on the pitch. I am here to help push that and drive forward. There is so much quality, I think we can do really good things.”

Ayane is Leicester City’s third Transfer Deadline Day signing.
