Man City star speaks on Bernardo Silva’s Real Madrid move | OneFootball

Manchester City star Rodri has tipped long-time teammate Bernardo Silva to enjoy a successful stint on the books of Real Madrid.

This of course comes ahead of the Portuguese’s imminent unveiling as a Blancos player.

After word was forthcoming earlier this week that incoming Real Madrid boss José Mourinho had set his sights on his fellow countryman’s signature, Florentino Pérez and co. quickly set about closing a deal for Bernardo.

A two-year contract has in turn been agreed upon between the parties, set to be signed over the coming weeks.

And as alluded to above, in no doubt that his former midfield partner will go on to thrive in the colours of Real Madrid is Ballon d’Or winner Rodri.

Drawn on Bernardo’s Blancos switch during an interview with El Larguero (as cited by Fabrizio Romano) late this week, midfielder Rodri explained:

“For sure he can play at any club. He’s still doing great, physically perfect, he can do top things.

“His chapter at City was closed.”
