In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Manchester City are keeping a keen eye on Barcelona full-back Alejandro Balde. It has been revealed that the Mancunian giants are showing interest in acquiring the services of the Spanish defender this summer.
Balde enjoyed a good run of form at the Catalan club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them in La Liga. The Spanish talent failed to find the back of the net but secured three assists in 42 appearances for Barcelona last season across various competitions.
The 22-year-old is currently one of the most talented full-backs in La Liga. Thus, it is no wonder that Man City are keen on recruiting him this off-season.
His current contract at the Nou Camp will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Mancunian outfit to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Balde is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the front foot and is a tidy passer as well.
The Spanish sensation can even create the odd chance for his teammates from the left flank. Balde is primarily a left-back but can also fill in as a left-sided player if told to do so by his manager. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Mancunian giants manage to bring him on board later this year.
We can expect Balde to bring more quality and depth to Man City’s defensive department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team place at the Etihad Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 22, Balde has got a bright future ahead of him and could be a real asset in Man City’s squad over the next decade. With all things considered, the Premier League club should consider going all out to bring him on board before the end of this transfer period.
