Having arrived in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2024 from Aston Villa, the 26-year-old has posted impressive numbers: 8 goals and 27 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions. Inter’s interest has been confirmed by club president Giuseppe Marotta, who nevertheless acknowledges the complexity of the negotiations. The Nerazzurri have reportedly reached a contractual agreement with Diaby, as noted by Fabrizio Romano.

Now, the final hurdle is convincing Al-Ittihad. Inter are believed to have made a loan offer with a €35 million purchase option. Under contract until 2029, Diaby has earned 11 caps with the French national team.
