Southampton host Swansea City Southampton host Swansea City at St. Mary’s Stadium this Saturday (12:30, Sky Sports +) as Championship action resumes after the international break.

The Saints sit 17th with 11 points following a 1-1 draw at Derby, while Swansea are 12th on 12 points after a 3-1 defeat to Leicester.

Their last meeting ended 3-0 in Southampton’s favour, and the home side will be hoping to continue their strong recent record against the Swans.

Luke Davies (Swans Cast): The international break is over once again and Swansea head to Southampton to play a team in the Premier League last season who, somewhat surprisingly are below the Swans in the Championship going into this game.

Southampton have had a tough start to life back in the Championship, with new manager Will Still adjusting to his new team and league, with his ideas taking some time to embed in the squad. Much the same as Swansea, goals have been more of a concern than the fans would of liked, and their main man Ross Steward has once again picked up a long term injury leaving them short up top.

This could all present an opportunity for Swansea who look to improve their own attacking output, and bounce back from their 3-1 loss to Leicester. There will be hopes the international break hasn't proved a disruption with many of the first team away over the period, ahead of what is a difficult 21 day period with 7 games.

I predict another tight game here, with a score draw the most likely result.
