Russell Martin gives triple Leicester City injury update before Spain double-header | OneFootball

Russell Martin says Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Woyo Coulibaly are nursing minor issues and could return during Leicester City's trip to Spain. Hamza Choudhury also took a knock in the win at Burton Albion.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, De Cordova-Reid played 45 minutes in the opener at Northampton Town, then missed victories over Bristol Rovers and Burton. Coulibaly sat out on Saturday after featuring as a winger last Tuesday.

Leicester head to the south of Spain this week, facing Cadiz on Wednesday night and Malaga on Saturday as 2026/27 preparations continue.

Martin said both players are expected, hopefully next week, to be available. He cautioned that Cadiz may come too soon, with Malaga the hopeful target for their return.

Choudhury came on at half-time at the Pirelli Stadium and was withdrawn late on, with academy midfielder Ryan Donnelly replacing him in the 88th minute. The manager explained the midfielder had been carrying a small issue and then received a kick.

He said Choudhury impressed in 40 minutes but would be monitored to manage the problem.
