A Sky Sports reporter has questioned Chelsea’s squad build so far, the signings they made this summer, and a lack of experience.
I think that the majority of Chelsea fans will agree with all of the above being questioned. But it’s fine asking the questions, what we lack is the answers.
Chelsea’s new owners have been here for around three years now and they have not done enough to consistently get the club back to where they need to and want to be.
They have spent ridiculous amounts of money but still have gaping holes in the current squad and have lacked experience, physicality, and leaders throughout. It’s beyond madness really.
Enzo Maresca is now under real pressure, but the squad build is also being heavily criticised and rightly so.

Sky Sports reporter Ron Walker has posted his reactions after Chelsea only managed a 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth last night.
Walker wrote:
‘Maresca finds himself held responsible for most, though not all of the underlying issues. Over-rotation has been a long-term bugbear – Chelsea have made 55 line-up changes this season, with rock-bottom Wolves the only other side with more than 50.
‘Managing a young squad across multiple competitions does require delicate squad balancing but Maresca has missed the mark on too many occasions. Even across the last week – against Aston Villa, Benoit Badiashile was trusted from the off but was directly at fault for Ollie Watkins’ equaliser.
‘The squad remains woefully short of strength in depth in certain areas, and short of experience almost throughout – the starting line-up against Bournemouth was the youngest named in any Premier League match this season.
‘For all of Chelsea’s spending, a hit-and-miss summer has not particularly helped with Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho failing to impress consistently.’
