Striker Marko Arnautovic has been “the extra man” in attack with his decisive contributions for Inter Milan this season.
Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, highlight the fact that the Austrian has averaged a goal contribution every 76 minutes he’s been on the pitch this season for Inter.
Striker Marko Arnautovic has hardly been a regular starter for Inter Milan this season.
Nor has the 35-year-old always come off the bench.
Arnautovic is well aware of his status as a backup option in attack for the Nerazzurri.
But the former Stoke City and West Ham United veteran has well and truly made the most of his opportunities.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has turned to Arnautovic when he has needed to rest the starters in attack, or find a different sort of option leading the line.
And Arnautovic has just about always managed to come up big in those circumstances.

As Tuttosport note, Marko Arnautovic has played a total of 684 minutes for Inter Milan this season.
And in this limited playing time, the Austrian has scored seven goals.
Additionally, Arnautovic has popped up with two assists.
The 35-year-old was decisive with a sharp goal and then an even better assist against Cagliari this weekend.
And that star turn saw Arnautovic take his average this campaign to a goal or assist every 76 minutes.
Meanwhile, Arnautovic nearly always scores when he starts matches, Tuttosport note.
The former Bologna striker has started in two out of Inter’s last three Serie A matches. And opened the scoring in both of them.
In fact, the only match that Arnautovic has played as a starter in for Inter this season and not found the back of the net in was a Champions League outing away to Young Boys.
