Raul Jimenez left the door open to a Wolves return after Sunday’s draw with Fulham. “Why not? There is always a possibility. Let’s see. It would be nice, more after today, let’s see,” he said. Asked if it could happen this summer, he added, “I don’t know, maybe. But I don’t know.”
He was speaking to ExpressAndStar.com after Wolves’ final home game of the season, and the outlet understands there have been early conversations between the club and Jimenez about a potential comeback.
Jimenez is Wolves’ record Premier League scorer with 40 goals from a five-year spell. He departed in 2023 with 57 in all competitions, and has since netted 28 in almost 100 outings for Fulham.
His remarks sparked a wave of optimism among supporters, many saying the striker still has the nous and presence to lift the club. Some called a deal savvy business and argued his experience would translate well to the Championship.
There was pushback too, with fans pointing to his age, 35, and urging the club to target younger, Championship-proven forwards capable of playing regularly. Others cautioned against looking backwards, despite the affection for a modern Wolves cult hero.
