FC Bayern are continuing to work hard on their squad planning for the coming season, and now a German international from Eintracht Frankfurt is apparently increasingly coming into focus for the Munich club
As reported by SPORT1, the German record champions are looking closely at Nathaniel Brown. The 22-year-old is now one of the absolute top performers at Eintracht Frankfurt and has even played his way into the German national team in recent months
According to information from SPORT1, the discussions at Säbener Straße are already well advanced, with an initial meeting taking place on Monday to discuss possible options for a transfer of the left-back. Bayern scouts in particular are said to have high hopes for Brown
One of the main reasons for Munich’s interest is apparently Alphonso Davies‘ continued susceptibility to injury. The Canadian is currently out injured for the seventh time since his contract was extended in February 2024
As a result, FCB are said to be discussing intensively how the club should react to the recurring absences, and Brown could play an important role in the future
The left-back moved from Nuremberg to Eintracht just two years ago and developed surprisingly quickly there. Brown is now one of the regular players in Frankfurt and has impressed both defensively and offensively with strong performances
His development has not gone unnoticed by the DFB either. The 22-year-old recently made the leap into the German national team and is regarded as one of the most exciting German full-back talents

The personal connection between Brown and FC Bayern is also interesting: Former Nuremberg head of youth development Michael Wiesinger, under whom Brown once trained, now works as head of sport and youth development at the Bayern campus
The record champions are therefore likely to be well informed about the development of the defensive player
With Hiroki Ito, Josip Stanisic, Konrad Laimer and Alphonso Davies, Vincent Kompany already has several options on the left flank. However, Munich do not appear to be really satisfied with their personnel line-up, especially as Ito is considered a sales candidate, Stanisic is planned for the center of defence in the medium term and Laimer is more urgently needed on the right flank
The signing of a young, promising left-back could therefore become increasingly important for Bayern.
