PSG are closing in on a new deal with Ousmane Dembele, according to a report from OnzeMondial on talks between the two parties.

It’s been a summer of outgoings at PSG so far.

Goncalo Ramos has gone to AC Milan. Kang-in Lee has gone to Atletico Madrid. Ibrahim Mbaye is on the way out (not without controversy) and Premier League teams are chasing Bradley Barcola too.

Part of the reason so many of these attackers want to go is that they don’t get enough first team chances. They know they can’t get past the superb first choice front three Luis Enrique has on hand. So it’s extra important that that group is kept together. It would be a strategic disaster to lose these quality replacements, then lose the first choice options.

PSG close to new deal with star forward

The good news for PSG fans is that it looks like one option is about to commit to a longer deal. OnzeMondial claim that PSG are working on Ousmane Dembele’s contract extension behind the scenes. “An agreement seems close,” they confirm.

The France star’s current deal runs out in two years’ time, but should be extended far beyond that when the new contact comes into force.
