Alberto Aicart steps down from CD Castellón supporters’ federation Fedpecas | OneFootball

Alberto Aicart has stepped down from the CD Castellón supporters’ federation, Fedpecas, he said in a statement. He has presided over the group in recent years.

He said he was ending nine years in which he felt proud to have given everything for the supporters, the colours and the badge.

Aicart thanked everyone who had stood alongside him, naming past and present leaders including Vicente Montesinos and Haralabos Voulgaris. He also acknowledged local officials such as mayor Begoña Carrasco and sports councillor Maica Hurtado.

He recalled events such as Leyendas, the Pam Pam Orellut awards and the club’s centenary, and thanked Vicente Montesinos and Javier Heredia for the trust shown in him for those events.

He apologised to anyone he might have offended or disappointed, adding that what he believed was for the good he now questions.

Aicart thanked the current president, Bob, for his trust from day one. He said he would remain available whenever needed, noting that the federation helped him feel useful again. He added that if the club, politicians and the city pull together they are unbeatable, and signed off with heartfelt thanks as an Albinegro.
