Álex Marchal signs new Real Sociedad contract to 2029 | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have tied down 18-year-old winger Álex Marchal on a new contract running to 2029.

The club said in a statement that the agreement lasts until the end of the 2028-29 season. It added that the Gorraiz native joined at cadete age and featured in 32 matches for Sanse in LaLiga Hypermotion this term.

The Navarrese wide player is the son of former forward Ismael Marchal, who made his debut for Real Madrid. He arrived at Real in 2022 from Txantrea, an affiliate of Athletic. He has already trained with the first team on occasion.

In recent months he had been linked with Athletic, and the delay to this renewal was attributed to efforts by the Bilbao club to attract him.

This deal extends his stay by two seasons beyond a contract that was due to expire in 2027. He will play in Segunda División again next season after Sanse secured their status in the second tier.
