Álex Marchal signs new Real Sociedad deal until 2029 | OneFootball

Álex Marchal will remain at Real Sociedad after signing a new contract until 2029. The 18-year-old winger made 32 appearances for Sanse last season and continues his progression with the B team.

Arriving in Zubieta at cadete level, he is set for a second campaign in Liga Hypermotion and a third with the second team. According to Diario Vasco, Athletic monitored him closely but a departure was never near.

His previous renewal, announced in November 2024, ran to 2027, so he still had a year left on his deal. The Navarrese prospect views La Real as the ideal place to keep building his career.

Marchal fits the profile of a classic winger, right-footed yet often stationed on the left. He boasts skill, dribbling and a clean strike, moves well into space and excels in tight areas despite his size.

Game time was limited last term, with a shade over 1,200 minutes despite 32 outings. In that span he produced one goal and one assist.

His involvement looks set to grow next season, with Ochieng not appearing likely to remain with Sanse. La Real place significant hopes in Marchal and continue to lock down their standout academy talents.
