Bap says Bruno Henrique to receive bust at Flamengo on 15 November | OneFootball

Bruno Henrique is to be honoured with a bust at Flamengo’s Gávea headquarters on 15 November, club president Luiz Eduardo Baptista has said.

"This year, on Flamengo's anniversary, we will make a bust in tribute to Bruno Henrique. I have always believed tributes should be made in life." He told Flamengo TV.

He will join club greats who already have busts at Gávea, including Zico, Júnior, Leandro, Andrade and Adílio, along with basketball icon Olivinha.

The forward had been contracted until the end of 2026, but has extended his deal to December 2027. Talks began in March, progressed in recent weeks and were finalised on Monday, with Baptista recently urging the 35-year-old to stay until he retires.

His wages will remain unchanged. After his 2024 renewal he was among the squad’s highest earners, which is no longer the case, and the club did not seek a pay cut, with his representatives also seeing no sense in one.

Signed in 2019, the number 27 has won 17 trophies, making him, alongside Arrascaeta, the most decorated player in Flamengo’s history. He has played 361 matches, scoring 114 goals with 58 assists.
