Bruno Henrique has reasserted his status under Leonardo Jardim since returning from injury. He has featured in all nine Flamengo matches over the past month, his most settled spell for some time.

A leader of the club's second string, the No 27 did not start in the Brasileirão, where the Portuguese coach has fielded his first-choice side. According to Globo.com, he remains a trusted option for the manager. In this run he has scored two goals and supplied three assists.

He has appeared in every Libertadores fixture so far, a pattern that should continue into matchday four of the group stage. He has been involved in four of Flamengo's seven goals in the competition. They visit Independiente Medellín in Colombia on Thursday at 21:30 Brasília time.

After a more irregular 2025, he is enjoying calmer days at the club. On Monday he signed a new contract to the end of 2027. He was also informed he will be honoured with a bust in November at Gávea, the club's headquarters.

He is on course to stay at Flamengo until he signals a wish to retire. At 35 he has 361 appearances, 114 goals and 58 assists. With 17 trophies, he stands alongside Arrascaeta as the most decorated player in the club's history.
